Meet Some of the Team
Attorney Joe Romanello
Joseph J. Romanello, Jr. earned his B.A. from Western Connecticut State University and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in 1999. Before venturing into Law School, Mr. Romanello was the owner of a construction business. In May of 2000, he established the Romanello Law Firm with the intention of offering clients high-quality representation in an accessible manner.
Since its inception in 2000, the Romanello Law Firm has successfully advocated for tens of thousands of clients across various legal matters. Attorney Romanello's practice areas encompass Real Estate, Personal Injury, Landlord/Tenant issues, Criminal Law, Business Law, and Trusts and Estates (Probate).
With twenty-four years of legal practice, Attorney Romanello places a strong emphasis on actively listening to his clients' concerns, explaining potential outcomes, and collaborating closely with them to achieve favorable results. The individualized approach he takes ensures that each client's voice is at the forefront of the legal process.
Beyond his legal practice, Attorney Romanello is deeply involved in charitable organizations, dedicating both his time and that of the Romanello Law Firm office staff to weekly charitable causes. In his leisure time, he finds fulfillment in coaching girls' lacrosse at the high school level, traveling, and enjoying moments with his wife and four daughters.

Attorney Traci Hertzberg
Traci Hertzberg, Esq., obtained her B.A. in Hospitality Administration from Boston University in January 2013. Following a period of work experience, she decided to pursue law school. Attorney Hertzberg graduated magna cum laude with her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2017.
During her law school tenure, Traci held leadership roles, serving as President of the Criminal Law Society, Treasurer of the Public Interest Law Project, and participating in the Mock Trial Honor Society. She garnered recognition for Distinguished Academic Achievement in Criminal Procedure.
Before joining the Romanello Law Firm in 2022, Traci served as a prosecutor in Bronx County, NY, and later at Danbury GA3 in Connecticut. Within the Romanello Law Firm, her primary practice areas include Criminal Defense, Bankruptcy, Landlord/Tenant Summary Process, and Foreclosure Defense.
In her leisure time, Traci indulges in her passion for baking, enjoys traveling, and cherishes moments at home with her husband and golden retriever.

Stacey Peterson, Office Manager & Head of the Real Estate Department
Stacey Peterson has been an integral part of the Romanello Law Firm since 2006, where she currently serves as the Office Manager and heads the Real Estate Department. With a noteworthy background as a Licensed Connecticut Real Estate Agent for eighteen years, coupled with her extensive seventeen-year tenure at the Romanello Law Firm, Mrs. Peterson possesses a comprehensive and unique understanding of all facets of real estate transactions.
Known for her adeptness in connecting and communicating effectively with clients, mortgage lenders, real estate agents, and fellow law firms, Mrs. Peterson excels in facilitating seamless interactions throughout the closing process. Her unwavering focus is dedicated to safeguarding clients' interests while providing them with the essential information and updates required for a smooth experience.
Mrs. Peterson's reputation extends beyond her immediate workspace, earning her recognition and respect among colleagues and counsel throughout the State of Connecticut. Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in spending quality time with her granddaughter, children, and husband. Additionally, Mrs. Peterson actively engages in charitable initiatives, consistently contributing to fundraising efforts for cancer research.
